The Conducting of Alfred Scholz

Alfred Scholz

Alfred Scholz was a real German conductor, and he made many recordings, but these recordings were issued on bargain labels under a shower of phony names. Scholtz's prize creation was "Alberto Lizzio" for whom Schotz invented a life history. On Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11, we will untangle some of Scholz's web, as we hear some of his conducting.
