This segment revisits a conversation from "The 21st Show." IPM's Brian Mackey spoke with Stacey Abrams in May on the current state of the democratic party.

Abrams served as minority leader of the Georgia House of Representatives for six years. She later founded Fair Fight Action to combat voter suppression and made history as the first Black woman to become a major-party nominee for governor in the U.S., running in both 2018 and 2022.  Though, she lost both of those elections, Abrams has been widely credited with helping boost voter turnout in Georgia, contributing to Joe Biden's 2020 win in the state and the election of two Democratic U.S. senators.
