Chancellor Robert Jones is preparing to leave the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign after nearly ten years in office. Jones joined the campus in 2016, following his role as president of the State University of New York in Albany.

Under his leadership, the university launched the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, completed a nearly $3-billion philanthropic campaign, and grew the campus population by 15,000 students. But coming this fall, Jones will lead the University of Washington in Seattle
