Illinois Soul celebrates two years of songs, concerts and conversations

In February of 2024, Illinois Public Media launched Illinois Soul, FM 101.1 on WILL-FM HD2. The station has brought R&B, gospel, and jazz to Central Illinois. It also hosts Black-focused news and public affair programs:
- Dialogue - weekly podcast about local Black communities
- Code Switch - NPR's podcast about race and identity
- Reveal - PRX's first weekly investigative public radio show and podcast
- Throughline - NPR'S podcast about history
- Jazz Night In America - NPR's long-running podcast about jazz

Illinois Soul also teamed up with Krannert Center for the Performing Arts to bring free ‘Uncorked’ concerts on Thursday nights in February. Our February 2026 lineup is:
