Ledisi returning to Illinois after European tour and paying homage to Dinah Washington with new album

In April 2023, Ledisi wowed crowds at Krannert Center for Performing Arts in Urbana. After finishing a European tour, Ledisi will perform at the Hard Rock Live Casino in Rockford on November 15. It comes weeks after releasing an album paying homage to Dinah Washington. 

We talked to her about phrasing her songs like the 1950’s jazz vocalist, an upcoming music education project, and singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the Super Bowl LIX in February 2025.
