Race and class on center stage at The Virginia Theatre as cast prepares to debut ‘Ragtime: The Musical’

From July 30-August 2, Champaign Urbana Theatre Company will perform the Tony-award winning production of ‘Ragtime: The Musical.’ The story centers around Black, White, and Jewish families around the start of the 20th century. Producer Monica Samii-Porter was joined by Alonza Lawrence and Kimberly Schofield, two performers of the 51-member cast.
