Big and small drummers outside Douglass Community Center

The Black I videotaped the return of Bud Johnson, leader of the Douglass Center Drum Corps during its heyday in the 1960s, to Champaign for a reunion with other drum corps members.  The Black I interviewed him while he was here for their min-documentary.  Mr. Johnson reunited with Jesse Ratliffe, another core member of the corps, and Lee Duncan, a potential promising leader of a new generation of drummers.  These photos were taken June 13, 2006.
