Illinois Youth Media Workshop member Dante at a march for Kiwane Carrington

Dante, a Youth Media Workshop member from Edison Middle School, participated in the October 22, 2009 march for Kiwane Carrington, an unarmed African-American youth who was shot to death by Champaign police officer Daniel Norbits during a struggle. Police were responding to a suspected burglary call.  The march for Kiwane started at the Illinois Terminal in Champaign and ended with a speak-out at the Don Moyers Boys and Girls Club in Champaign.  In this video, Dante speaks to an independent reporter about why he came to the march.  This video was shot using Dante's FLIP video camera, provided to him by the Youth Media Workshop.
