Pakistani ensemble Qawal Najmuddin Saifuddin & Brothers

On the Friday edition of the show, we have a rare opportunity to explore a type of Sufi devotional music called Qawwali, which dates from more than 700 years ago, particularly in Pakistan and India. The Pakistani ensemble Qawal Najmuddin Saifuddin & Brothers are in residence this week at Eastern Illinois University and will give a public concert Friday night in Charleston. The brothers will join us live on Live and Local.
