Clarinetist Carlyle Johnson and his band The New Orleans Jazz Machine

Champaign's Carlyle Johnson said in an interview recently, "I wanted to play clarinet since before I had my teeth in." And play he does, currently with his band The New Orleans Jazz Machine. They'll play the Uncorked event at the Krannert Center in Urbana Thursday night, and they'll join us live in the studio on the Thursday edition of "Live and Local.
