The motion picture “Selma” depicts the struggles of civil rights activists leading up to the 1965 Selma-to-Montgomery voting rights march.

State Representative Carol Ammons participated in a discussion following a showing of the movie last night at Champaign’s Art Theater.

Illinois Public Media’s Tiffany Jolley sat down with Ammons to talk about the film, and the lessons she’s learned from the Civil Rights era.
