Champaign Police Announce Arrest In Terron Jackson Murder

 

Champaign Police say they’ve made an arrest in connection with the murder two weeks ago of Terron Jackson.

Police say they arrested 21-year-old Brandon L. Collier of Champaign on Tuesday. He’s being held on $1 million bond. Collier's arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday.

Police accuse Collier of shooting the 30 year old Jackson on the evening of Monday, July 13th, in Champaign’s Garden Hills neighborhood. The News-Gazette reports that police believe that the shooting arose from a dispute, and Jackson was shot as a result of mistaken identity, or being caught in the middle of gunfire.
