Severe Weather Closings & Cancellations For Monday, Dec. 19, 2016

Here's a list of school and other closings, cancellations and delays, due to cold temperatures & slippery conditions on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016:

 

No Rural Bus Service for Circle Academy, READY School & Pavilion Foundation School in Urbana Dis. 11

Students in Urbana School District 116 attending Circle Academy, READY School, and Pavilion Foundation School will have no rural bus service on Monday, Dec. 19th. Other Urbana District 119 schools are on winter vacation.

 

Salt Fork CUSD #512 in Catlin & Jamaica

All Salt Fork Schools will be closed on Monday, December 19th due to weather conditions.

 

Rossville-Alvin CUSD #7

Rossville-Alvin will not be in session on Monday, December 19th due to the country road conditions. The Family Reading Night will be rescheduled.

 

Rantoul City School District Closed Mon. 12/19/16

Rantoul city schools are closed Monday, 12/19/16.

 

Paxton Buckey Loda CUSD # 10

Due to rural road conditions there is no school Monday December 19th. All activities and practices are canceled. 

 

Oakwood CUSF 176

Due to extremely Icy Road conditions on rural side roads, School is cancelled on Monday, December 19th. All buildings will be closed.

 

Hoopeston Area School District

Due to hazardous rural road conditions, Hoopeston Area Schools are cancelled for Monday December 19th.

 

Heritage School District Closed in Homer & Broadlands Monday, Dec. 19

Heritage Schools will be closed on Monday, December 19th due to extreme icing. This includes Heritage Pre-K Spectrum.

Gifford Grade School Closed Monday, Dec. 19

Due to inclement weather Gifford Grade School in Gifford will be closed on Monday, Dec. 19th. 

 

Prairieview Ogden School District 197

Schools in Prairieview Ogden School District 197 are closed on Monday, Dec. 19.

 

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley School District 5

Due to extremely dangerous rural road conditions and potential temperatures (-10 to -20 ), school and all school related activities are cancelled for Monday, December 19th. Please be safe if travel is necessary.

 

Millikin University in Decatur Opening at 12 PM Monday, Dec. 19th.

Due to significant icing of parking lots and sidewalks, Millikin University will delay opening on Monday, December 19th untill noon. This will allow our facilities team and improving weather conditions more time to clear accumulated ice. 

 

Deland-Weldon School District

Due to icy roads, school is cancelled for Monday, December 19th. Odd day finals will be on Tuesday, December 20th. Even day finals will be on Wednesday, Jan. 4th.

 

Christ Lutheran High School,  Buckley, IL

Classes cancelled on Monday, Dec. 19. 

 

Bement School CUSD #5

Classes cancelled for Monday, Dec. 19th. 

 

Clinton Unit School District 15

Schools in the Clinton School District are closed Monday. 

 

St. Joseph Ogden School CC School Dis. 169

Classes are cancelled Monday for St. Joseph Grade, Middle and High Schools.

 

Champaign Unit 4 Schools Open With Limited Bus Service

Schools are Open Monday in the Champaign Unit Four School District, but buses are running on a limited schedule. 

 

Westville School District #2

Westville schools are closed on Monday, Dec. 19th.
