Episode 6: Goodbye 2020!

Host Gwen Macsai visits with a computer science professor who impersonated Yoda, Elton John, and Princess Leia (among others) when she spiced up her Zoom classes by dressing in costume. This last episode of the Rising to the Challenge series will also feature the story of two University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign students who 3D printed over 750 masks to distribute to people with disabilities. We’ll check in to see how the pandemic has affected the finances of the state of Illinois and last but hardly least, we have a rousing visit with the director of the UIUC marching band that can neither march nor band.
