Tuesday night May 9 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Anna Rakitina makes her CSO conducting debut. You’ll hear Tchaikovsky’s “Capriccio Italien” and selections from “The Nutcracker” as well as the “Roccoco Variations” with cello soloist Alicia Weilerstein.

Thursday night March 30 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra” led by guest conductor Osmo Vanska. You’ll hear Bernstein’s Overture to Candide and Berlioz’s “Symphonie fantastique”. Also on the program Joan Tower’s “A New Day” for cello and orchestra.

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Dvorak’s “5th Symphony” and selections from Smetana’s “The Bartered Bride” conducted by Neeme Järvi. Also on the program Barber’s “Cello Concerto” with soloist Alisa Weilerstein.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. David Zinman guest conducts the Philharmonic in two Beethoven symphonies, the 4th and the 8th.  Also on the program Barber’s “Cello Concerto” with soloist Alisa Weilerstein.
