Sunday night July 24 at 6:00 on FM 90.9 the “Evening Concert” starts with Weber’s Op. 34 “Clarinet Quintet” from Santa Fe, followed at 7:00 by Schumann’s Op. 105 “Violin Sonata” from Lincoln Center and at 8:00 by “Six String Dreams” on “Fiesta”.

Sharon Isbin is one of the foremost classical guitar musicians in the world. The multi-Grammy winner is in town now to play during the Ellnora Guitar Festival. She stopped by our studio to talk about the future of classical guitar and about women in the music business. Isbin told Illinois Public Media that she started playing classical guitar a bit by accident.
