Cristian Măcelaru guest conducts. Also on the program Finnish composer Outi Tarkiainen’s (OH-Tee Tar-key-aynen) “Milky Ways” featuring soloist Russ de Luna.
Thursday night May 18 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s a Deutsche Welle Festival Concert. You’ll hear violinist Augustin Hadelich as the soloist in Beethoven’s “Violin Concerto”. Also on the program the Schoenberg orchestration of Brahms “1st Piano Quartet”.
Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. Augustin Hadelich is the soloist in Dvorak’s “Violin Concerto”. Cristian Macelaru guest conducts. Also on the program Enescu’s “1st Rumanian Rhapsody” and Copland’s “3rd Symphony”.
