The program begins with Sibelius' “Violin Concerto” featuring Jascha Heifetz, followed by Mahler's “Songs of a Wayfarer”, then Strauss’ “Burleske in D Minor” and concludes with Dvořák’s “Cello Concerto”.

Tuesday night April 2 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. From the CSO’s archives you’ll hear Goldmark’s “In Springtime”, Schumann’s “Spring Symphony” and Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde (The Song of the Earth).

Tuesday night February 20 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  Maestros Barenboim, Boulez, and Solti conduct the CSO with the Chicago Symphony Chorus under the direction of chorus found Margaret Hillis in Bartok’s “Cantata Profana” and Brahms’ “A German Requiem”.

Tuesday night January 9 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  You’ll hear Wagner’s “Prelude to ‘Lohengrin’” and Richard Strauss’ “Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks”. Also on the program Bruckner’s “8th Symphony”.

It's a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the CSO's founder and first Music DIrector/Conductor Frederick Stock, with music by Mendelssohn, Bartok, Elgar, Scriabin and Paganini.
