An electrical fire occurred Thursday morning at the Einstein Bros. Bagels located in the basement of the 78-year-old Illini Union building on the University of Illinois campus.

The founder of a group promoting conservative causes on college campuses will speak on the University of Illinois campus Thursday, and says he hopes to engage students in constructive conversation. 

Bestselling author Wes Moore's Book, "The Other Wes Moore," is the current selection of the University of Illinois' "One Book, One Campus" program. Before speaking Tuesday night at the Illini Union, he spoke with Illinois Public Media's Brian Moline about the book, the Freddie Gray case, and his Bridge EDU program.

After students sent in personal stories about racial oppressions experienced at the U of I campus, many of those students will share their stories with the public at a vigil Thursday evening.
