The Champaign County Board voted Tuesday night to provide more money to the county nursing home, settling two lawsuits, forgiving old loans, and agreeing to loan the home additional money until a pending sale to a private operator becomes official.
Champaign County will soon be issuing a formal Request For Proposals from potential buyers of the Champaign County Nursing Home. On a thirteen to eight vote, including three yes votes from Democrats, the county board Tuesday night approved the next step towards a potential sale of the financially troubled facility.
Seven democrats on the Champaign County Board have signed a statement calling on the county to tap the brakes on any potential Champaign County Nursing Home sale.
