Composer Thomas Adès conducts music he’s written:“Five Spells from The Tempest” and his “Piano Concerto” featuring soloist Kirill Gerstein. Also on the program Ravel’s “Piano Concerto for the Left Hand”.
Haydn’s “Mass in a Time of War”
Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh joins the orchestra in Haydn’s “Mass in a Time of War”. Also on the program Mozart’s “Paris” Symphony.
Ravel’s “Daphnis and Chloe” and “Piano Concerto for the Left Hand”
Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Matthias Pintscher conducts Ravel’s “Daphnis and Chloe” and Jean-Yves Thibaudet is the soloist in Ravel’s “Piano Concerto for the Left Hand”.
