Gov. Bruce Rauner is touring the state, calling for lawmakers to pass what he calls “true, lasting” property tax relief.

The Illinois Senate adjourned for the day Thursday, without taking action on remaining items from the "grand bargain'' budget compromise. But the Senate and the Illinois House will be back in session Friday.
