On behalf of partners, POLITICO, the University of Chicago’s non-partisan Institute of Politics, and WBEZ Chicago, WBEZ presented a live public forum Thursday evening featuring the 2018 Illinois Democratic gubernatorial candidates discussing their respective visions for the future of our state.

Five of the Democrats running for Illinois governor met at a debate Wednesday night in Springfield. Among the prime topics was House Speaker Michael Madigan’s handling of harassment in his political organization.

Even though the primary election is over three months away, Democratic gubernatorial hopeful J.B. Pritzker has already notched a win. Pritzker was selected to be first on the primary ballot among the seven candidates running.
