Thursday night August 31 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “Carnegie Hall Live”. You’ll hear the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra led by Christian Thielemann play Richard Strauss’ “An Alpine Symphony”.  Also on the program the Schoenberg’s “Transfigured Night”.

Tuesday night October 4 at 7:00 on the Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Shostakovich’s “6th Symphony”.  Music Director Riccardo Muti conducts. Also on the program Mendelssohn’s “Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage” Overture and Liszt’s “6th Symphonic Poem”.

Wednesday night July 6 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the first program in a new season from the “Los Angeles Philharmonic”. Soprano Golda Schulz is the soloist in Strauss’ “Four Last Songs’. Music Director Gustavo Dudamel conducts. Also on the program Strauss’ “Death and Transfiguration”.

Monday night March 28 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Tchaikovsky’s “6th Symphony”, the “Pathetique”, Still’s “Old California”, and Schoenberg’s “Transfigured Night”.  Also on the program Bartok’s 3rd Piano Concerto”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Schubert’s D. 574 “Violin Sonata in A Major” on “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 8:00 you’ll hear a program about the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra on “Fiesta!” With Elbio Barilari”.
