Wednesday January 1, 2025 at 10:00 o’clock in the morning on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 we present a live holiday special: “New Year’s Day from Vienna”. Riccardo Muti leads the Vienna Philharmonic in famous and less-often-played waltzes, polkas, and other selections heard on a typical New Year’s Day concert.
Wednesday night October 2 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL, 90.9FM/HD1 it’s first program in a new series from the European Broadcast Union. You’ll hear the Vienna Philharmonic led by Riccardo Muti in audience favorites like Brahms’ “Hungarian Dances” and Grieg’s “Morning” from “Peer Gynt”.
Monday night January 1 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 we pre-empt “The New York Philharmonic This Week” to bring you a holiday special “New Year’s Day from Vienna”. Christian Thielemann leads the Vienna Philharmonic in favorite waltzes, polkas, and other selections heard on a typical New Years Day concert.
Thursday night August 31 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “Carnegie Hall Live”. You’ll hear the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra led by Christian Thielemann play Richard Strauss’ “An Alpine Symphony”. Also on the program the Schoenberg’s “Transfigured Night”.
