In this episode, we are talking about challenges faced by farmers under climate change and the economic impacts for consumers. The co-hosts are Maddie Stover, a doctoral student in Physics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Illinois State Climatologist Trent Ford. They spoke with Megan Dwyer, director of Conservation and Nutrient Stewardship with the Illinois Corn Growers Association and Jonathan Coppess, professor in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
