Today we're talking about winter weather in Illinois. In a typical November, Champaign-Urbana receives just under an inch of snow.
Co-hosts Maddie Stover and Jeff Frame, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Department of Climate, Meteorology & Atmospheric Sciences professor talked with Nutrien and Illinois Public Media meteorologist Andrew Pritchard. They discussed the November 10, 2025 rare lake-effect snowfall in Champaign County and the more than 8.5 inches of snow that fell in late November.
