  • llinois saw zero COVID-19 deaths on Monday, the first time in 16 months the state’s health department reported no deaths due to the virus.

  • Governor JB Pritzker signed a new law Tuesday expanding Medicaid services in Illinois.

  • More than 10,000 residents of long-term care facilities in Illinois have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, but only one long-term care facility in Champaign-Urbana is mandating its employees get vaccinated.

  • Illinois Department of Public Health officials report that in Champaign County, six doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered Monday.
