The election is just two weeks away and Joshua Loyd is the Republican nominee for the 13th congressional district, which is currently represented by first-term Democratic Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski.
Loyd is 26 years old and lives in Virden, Illinois, which is south of Springfield.He won a contested primary for the Republican nomination. Most of Loyd’s adult life was spent in the Army. He enlisted out of high school, and was assigned to duty in central and southern Illinois.
