Chef John Manion wants to connect food lovers in Chicago

The word Brasero refers to the firebox in South American wood-fired grilling. It’s also the focus of one of John Manion’s restaurants in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago. It also gave the restaurant its name.

Next week, he’ll be collaborating at Brasero with the James Beard Foundation for an event called JBF Greens. It’s a series in New York, Chicago, LA, Seattle, and San Francisco — aiming to connect food lovers in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. The one in Chicago is set for 6 p.m. April 15th. John joined us on the program to talk about it.
