Easter In The Black Church

Reginald Hardwick/Illinois Newsroom

According to Pew Research Center, nearly half of Black Americans attend church at least once a week, compared to 39% of Latinos, 34% of white people and 26% of Asian Americans. With Easter Sunday 2021 nearly upon us, we wanted to explore some of the traditions in Black Churches, including the styles of dress and preaching.

To talk about that and more, we're joined by an associate pastor from First Baptist Church in Georgetown, one of the oldest Black churches in Vermilion County.

Guest:

Minister Ray Glass, associate pastor at First Baptist Church in Georgetown
