Illinois and the nation prepares for Trump’s White House return and judge strikes down the assault weapons ban

The Illinois General Assembly was back in Springfield this week for veto session as lawmakers there gear up for the effects of a second Trump administration. And Governor JB Pritzker and Colorado Governor Jared Polis announced the launch of what they call 'Governors Safeguarding Democracy.' Meanwhile, as Republicans chose their next Senate majority leader, Trump's choice for Attorney General is a real test for Republicans loyal to the new president.
