Illinois Dreamers Speak After DACA Decision

There are an estimated 650,000 thousand DACA recipients, or “Dreamers,” and 34,000 active recipients here in Illinois. After the Supreme Court’s 5-to-4 decision last week against the Trump Administration’s challenges to end the program, they, and the program are safe. At least for right now.
In this segment of The 21st show, we dig into the Supreme Court’s historic decision, what it means for dreamers now and how it affects the future of the program.
