The 21st Show

Illinois News Roundup - June 21, 2024

It's time for our Friday Reporter Roundtable, today we're focusing on Peoria and the Quad Cities.

We are joined by WCBU reporter Joe Deacon and WVIK reporter Rachel Duckett.

We'll kick off the show by talking to Joe about a Planned Parenthood location in Peoria that recently reopened. We'll learn about what caused it to close and what it took to reopen.

The co-chairs of the Peoria City-County Joint Commission on Racial Justice and Equity updated leader strategies to combat inequality gaps in the area. Joe will explain how that has been going so far.

We'll talk with Rachel about a rally held by the National Association of Letter Carriers in Moline last week and why it was held.

Augustana College and Rivermont Collegiate signed a guaranteed admissions agreement. Rachel will tell us what that agreement entails.
