Journey back to the 1700s at Fort Massac this weekend
Fort Massac was Illinois' first state park. And this weekend it's hosting its annual reenactment of 1700's life of the frontier. The historic landmark in Metropolis was an outpost used by French, British, and early Americans. The site is even thought to have been used by Spanish explorers, and it's assumed Native Americans before that.
