Juvenile Murder Sentence Cut in Half

 

Broad changes are being made to juvenile justice in Illinois. Following a series of rulings by the U.S. Supreme Court, last week Dimitri Buffer got a new sentence — 25 years, instead of the previous 50 — for a murder he was convicted of committing at the age of 16.

The 21st spoke to a reporter from Injustice Watch to talk about the new sentence.
