The Illinois General Assembly adopted a new set of district boundaries for seats in the Illinois Statehouse and Senate. The Democratic Party holds supermajorities in both the House and the Senate and drew the districts with an eye toward maintaining and expanding their power.
The 21st spoke to the Assistant Republican Leader in the Illinois House of Representatives about redistricting, Governor JB Pritzker reinstituting mask mandates statewide and the renewable energy fight.
