There was a change in leadership in the Illinois General Assembly last week — as House Speaker Michael Madigan was, for the first time in four decades — supplanted as leader of the Democrats in the state House of Representatives. But that was not the only change among the so-called four tops in Springfield.
The Senate Republican Caucus also has a new leader: State Sen. Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods). McConchie is the Senate Republicans’ third leader in just a few years. We talked with him about the pandemic, vaccine prioritization and the presidential election.
