Many pregnancies end not with birth, but with loss and that can leave a lasting mark on the people who experience it.
Author and professor Kate Clancy's new book is “Pregnancy Interrupted: The Science and Stories of How Pregnancies Really End.” In it, she makes the claim that miscarriages and stillbirths are actually close to being the norm as opposed to being an exception when it comes to conversations about pregnancy.
Clancy discusses stories of pregnancy loss mentioned in her book as well as the science behind why a pregnancy ends without a live birth.
