Next U of I chancellor talks AI, responding to Trump policies and comic books

There will soon be new leadership at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.Outgoing Chancellor Robert Jones has taken a job as President of the University of Washington in Seattle. Succeeding him is Charles Isbell, who had been Provost at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Isbell begins as U of I's Chancellor on August 1.
Emily Hays, who covers education for IPM News had the chance to speak with Isbell last month about his approach to federal policy changes, the future of AI, which is his academic speciality and his love for comic books.
