Pediatrician explains why giving infants peanuts may prevent allergies later

Nearly all parents have heard the guidance to avoid exposing young children to peanuts because some children could have severe reactions.

However, The American Academy of Pediatrics is having a harder time sharing the updated research on how it's encouraged to expose peanuts to children as young as 4 months old to decrease their likelihood to develop a peanut allergy.
