The issue of abortion is often framed in religious terms usually by people who oppose the procedure. However, Illinois philosopher Peter Wenz says there are religious arguments in favor of abortion. His new book is called “Abortion Rights as the Free Exercise of Religion: The Constitutional Case for Choice.” It's a striking reframe of one of the most divisive issues in the U.S.
Wenz has another book out this year aiming to teach the philosophy of religion in a way that suits a generation more steeped in science, technology, engineering and math. He joins the program today.
