Earlier in 2023, Illinois government passed a law placing restrictions on the anti-abortion facilities that have branded themselves as "crisis pregnancy centers." More specifically, it aimed to apply a pre-existing law, the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, to the abortion industry. This week, Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul agreed in a legal filing to stop the state's enforcement of the law.

Plus, The House has authorized the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Every Republican rallied behind the politically charged process despite lingering concerns among some in the party that the investigation has yet to produce evidence of misconduct by the president. - Associated Press
