Quite a bit has changed about the media landscape over the past 40 years. Steve Vogel is all too familiar with this. Vogel’s name might be familiar to those with ties to the Bloomington-Normal area, where he was a longtime radio broadcaster.

He is also the author of the New York Times bestselling true-crime thriller “Reasonable Doubt,”. Considered a classic of the genre, it explores the true story of the brutal murder of a Bloomington mother and her three children.

Now Vogel is turning his journalistic attention to his own life, and has come out with a memoir called “Broadcast Live: 71 True Stories, Including Some I’d Just as Soon Forget.” It recounts a series of episodes from childhood through his working life. Vogel joins the program today.
