Reporter Roundtable: Illinois Colleges and COVID

 

As of Aug. 31, the Illinois Department of Public Health has confirmed more than 233-thousand cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including at least 8,019 people who’ve died from the disease.And things are not moving in the right direction. As of Aug. 28, 30 Illinois counties are at warning level, which means at least two of the stats monitored by the state are moving in the wrong direction. That’s one-third of the counties in the state.

We survey the landscape with reporters from three college towns across Illinois.
