Rick Steves on travel during the pandemic

For longtime fans and friends of public broadcasting, Rick Steves needs very little introduction. On NPR stations, he hosts "Travel with Rick Steves." On PBS, there’s "Rick Steves' Europe." He also runs a large touring company that — when there’s not a global pandemic — guides thousands of people through Europe every year. And of course, he’s an author of many guidebooks, starting with Europe Through the Back Door in 1980, up through 2020’s For the Love of Europe: My Favorite Places, People and Stories.
Our host, Brian Mackey, talked with Steves for a member event for Illinois Public Media about practical tips for traveling in the pandemic, where in Europe to go with children, and more.
