The latest in health care policies and how it effects the everyday consumer

The main reason the recent government shutdown happened was a dispute over whether or not to extend enhanced tax credits for the Affordable Care Act. 

These were added during the pandemic, but with an expiration date — this year. That will significantly raise the price of health insurance — and not just for people who get coverage through the ACA. It’s also expected to affect those on employer-based plans. A  health care policy expert and a journalist who covers health care join the conversation.
