Sometimes a long road trip can help put things in perspective. Our next guests hit the road earlier this summer to get a big picture look at how colleges and universities around the country are handling fall semester during a global pandemic.

The 21st speaks to a reporter and a producer from NPR about their conversations with parents and epidemiologists. We talk about how they even made a stop here at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to learn more about coronavirus saliva testing and contact tracing.
