Anti-Trans Legislation in Sports

This Pride month has been met with an overwhelming number of anti-transgender legislation across the country, making 2021 a record breaking year. More than 100 bills have been introduced that restrict trans rights, and many of these bills target trans athletes. 

The 21st was joined by the co-host of the podcast The Trans Sporter Room to discuss why girls and women the target of this anti-trans legislation, fairness in sports and the larger message this sends to trans girls and women who want to play sports.
