United Layoffs: Union Perspective

Chicago-based United Airlines announced last week that nearly half of its workforce, more than 36,000 employees, could be out of work come October. The 21st speaks to the President and Directing General Chair of IAM District 141 in Elk Grove Village to speak about these potential job cuts. IAM District 141 represents machinists and aerospace workers at nearly a dozen airlines, including United.
